High-Level DAM System Diagram

The on-site Widen Appliance and hosted Widen Collective digital asset management system are integrated using a standard web services API. Other applications serving other critical business functions throughout the world may also share information with these systems using web services.

Internal users may access digital assets through an internal interface or directly within their desktop application. An alternative is accessing through a web interface, the same access point for external users.

The Widen infrastructure supports clustering, redundancy, backups, security, disaster recovery, and rapid upgrades to serve the external demand. The Widen data center is also responsible for facilitating communication between all Widen Appliance locations, if multiple locations exist.
