Motorola uses Widen Digital Asset Management (DAM) services to manage and distribute digital media including product photos, logos, ads, graphics, and packaging to cellular carriers worldwide. Motorola is now breaking new ground with the addition of ring tones to their digital asset library with automated conversions of audio files in the Motorola Collective, hosted by Widen.
Widen's new release allows Motorola internal customers to greatly benefit from on-demand conversions and access to the Motorola ring tone library. Using Widen DAM technology, users can preview an entire audio file online within the Motorola Collective before ordering and downloading the files for use with various marketing purposes. The audio ring tone files are stored in the DAM system in their native formats, and converted during the order process into various compressed file formats for mobile devices or internet delivery, including MP3, M4A/AAC, and WMA.
John Wernecke, Global Public Relations Manager for Motorola Mobile Devices, said "This new feature added to the Motorola Collective by Widen makes a great tool even more powerful. Our users will be able to quickly review available ring tones, preview them, and order them for immediate delivery in the exact format they need. This enhancement will make the Motorola Collective even more important to our marketing and brand management efforts."
