Widen Recognized Globally by Frost & Sullivan for Strategy Execution

Widen Enterprises, Inc. was recognized by the research firm Frost & Sullivan (www.frost.com) in the latest World Digital Asset Management Markets study with placement on the "Hot Company Watchlist." Frost & Sullivan found that Widen's deployed strategies are one of the most attractive in the industry, positioning the company for robust and strong growth in the future with the potential of achieving leadership position. Because of Widen's continued success in its strategy execution, Frost & Sullivan's global analysis promoted Widen to market leadership contender from emerging player.

Mukul Krishna, Global Manager of Digital Media Practice at Frost & Sullivan, added that "Widen has been one of the first few companies to provide digital asset management as a software-as-a-service provider in the market and is poised to see significant growth as the market gains widespread acceptance across verticals. The company has listened to the end-user market and is redefining many of its strategies to align itself with market demands to start capitalizing on these opportunities over the coming years."

Frost & Sullivan ranked Widen as the third largest software-as-a-service provider in the digital asset management marketplace with a 10% market share. The total market is approximately one-third of a billion with the software-as-a-service model representing one-tenth of the total and growing faster than the overall market.

Widen digital asset management software provides an easy way for marketing and creative departments to share and distribute digital media such as images, videos, presentations and brochures. Widen delivers the software as a service through the internet, instead of installing hardware or software on the client site. Widen creates the software and manages the hardware out of the corporate headquarters in Madison.

"Recognized by one of the leading analyst firms in our industry is an honor," commented Matthew Gonnering, Director of Sales & Marketing at Widen. "We are primed for tremendous growth by delivering this software through a web browser; it doesn't make economical sense for companies to install software on-site when a lower cost, faster deployment, and better supported architecture is available."

Companies are put on the Frost & Sullivan Hot Company Watchlist by virtue of strategies initiated by them over the past 12 months which have put these companies in a good position to strengthen their market position significantly over the next 12 months. Though currently these vendors do not necessarily have a leadership position in any one criteria, proper execution of initiated strategies are expected to have the potential to propel these companies into a leadership position in the near future.
