We can all think of a million reasons not to attend a conference. It’s time away from your regular tasks, it costs money to travel, and you’re never sure if the conference will really be worth it. Am I right?
Well, it’s time to stop making excuses because this is no ordinary conference. And we’ve got five reasons why that you can take to your boss to prove it!
1. OMGICDT Moments
Get ready for some “oh my gosh, it can do that?!” moments. The Widen Collective is often under-utilized across the organization. Discover innovative ways to maximize the Collective to achieve even more success in your operation. Quench your ever-thirsting DAM admin needs by learning the latest ways to connect your content with the freshest guidance, insights, education, networking, and resources available.
2. Peer-to-peer learning
Everyone is dealing with many of the same headaches when it comes to successfully working with content. We all face similar challenges with metadata, user engagement, and DAM cleanup. Learn how other small and large world-class brands are solving organizational challenges with the Collective and spend three days with other teams who use the same system and live in the same world as you do.
3. We invest in YOU — so take advantage of it!
You wouldn’t put cash into a garbage can, would you? Many don’t realize how much of an investment Widen puts into the Summit...and we do it because we KNOW it’s worth it! The Summit is in the sixth year of operation and has grown by leaps and bounds each year. Because of that, 2017 will be the last year we’re covering the full cost to attend (including all meals, drinks, and entertainment). We will charge a small subsidy registration fee next year and moving forward. If you’re curious about the Widen Summit, this is the year to to bring your teams to check it out!
4. Help us build the product of your dreams and then help us help you use it
Our investment in user experience research has helped us learn more about what you want and need as a DAM user, and we NEED your voice and feedback to keep building. During the Summit, we’ll spend time having conversations, learning about pain points, talking about wish lists, and comparing notes so that we can continue to provide a product that helps you. All of your valuable feedback is documented and acknowledged, and we take it back to our teams for future consideration. We are listening!
5. Take your place at the Widen customer community table
Whether you’ve been DAMing for years or are just starting now, it’s important to know that you represent an essential global industry and are part of something meaningful as a Widen customer. During the Summit, we can’t wait to learn more about you as an individual and as a professional DAMster. You’ll leave the Summit with new DAMster friends, professional contacts, and Widen employee connections. And the best part is that you can leverage these contacts throughout the year to exchange ideas and notes and always know that you work with people and a company who cares about you and your success.
But don’t just take our word for it. Candice from the University of San Francisco shares her 2016 Summit experience and what she took away from the Summit long after she left Madison.
