The Intelligent Content Conference (ICC) is about to start in Las Vegas, Nevada with the aim of helping marketers learn to “plan, create, and deliver contextually relevant content.” We’re excited to be a part of that, with an engaging (and entertaining) session called Content Wars: The DAM Awakens on Tuesday, March 8 at 3:10 EST.
The DAM Awakens uses examples from Jay Pongonis, the marketing communications manager for Hexagon Geospatial, a technology company producing software for clients like mapping agencies, transportation departments, and engineering companies. Pongonis relies on his digital asset management (DAM) system to manage content related product launches and tours, the external website, trade shows, social media, and more.
As he explains it, DAM is the force that keeps the company's content organized and accessible to people around the world. Lost content (and as a result, money) would not please Master Yoda.
Widen marketing director Jake Athey will present alongside Pongonis, showing how some the key elements of a DAM system – like metadata, categories, governance, collections – enable Intelligent Content. DAM supports the analysis, publication, and management of content, helping you evaluate, curate, and share the best of your brand.
In addition to Athey, the Widen Road Crew at ICC includes brand strategist Nina Brakel-Schutt and Libby Maurer, the Widen user experience manager.
