It’s been an eventful fall for Widen. Not only did we host another fantastic Widen User Summit, but we’re also launching a whole new user interface (UI) and logo for version 8.0 of our flagship digital asset management software product, the Widen Media Collective.
With the updated UI, users will see and interact with a simple, clean, and more modern-looking experience. While much of the existing functionality will remain the same, great new features are being added. Many are in tandem with a new drag-and-drop dashboard for increased usability and interactivity with assets. See our 8.0 release blog post for more info about the updates.

And why a new product logo? To better tie into the simplified UI, we set aside the previous Media Collective logo in favor of a mark that uses a clean, circular graphic and a fresh font to represent the management of content as a unified system – which continues to be the future direction of the product.
"The Media Collective is a core business tool for connecting content across all channels and helping determine its value," says Deanna Ballew, Director of Product Management at Widen. "Our goal is to help marketers and creatives capture, organize, share and analyze their marketing content, so we’re providing insights that will help them make better decisions about each piece of content, based on its efficacy."
The new Media Collective logo will be rolled out across the company’s marketing communications, coinciding with the new product release this month.
