Widen Consulting Helps Companies Achieve Their DAM Goals

Successful businesses are able to adapt, flex, and adjust to unforeseen changes and challenges. This agility requires the right people, processes, and well a lot of thoughtful planning. Widen’s Consulting team partners with companies to create custom, detailed strategies that articulate how digital asset management (DAM) can support their ever-evolving business goals, and help them move confidently toward success.

A look at Widen's DAM consulting services

With decades of experience in the marketing technology (martech) industry, our DAM consultants have solved just about every kind of people, process, and technology challenge. They are PROSCI certified, lean experts that understand how to use change management tools in a wide range of digital asset management consulting engagements, from tactical DAM success plans to martech strategies and process improvement roadmaps.

“Marketers need more than just software to reach their content goals,” said James Wanke, Senior Implementation Consultant. “By partnering with our consultants, our customers learn how to use tools and strategies to maximize their DAM investment, and thrive.”

Help with a content migration strategy

Several years after implementing the Widen Collective®, Freedom Forum/Newseum engaged Widen consulting to develop a content migration strategy. They had roughly 400,000 assets stored in a separate software platform that had very limited search functionality (and significant maintenance fees).

But importing this content into their Collective site required alignment around metadata, categories, and permissions. With Widen's assistance, they created a step-by-step plan to import key metadata elements and permission them to the correct user groups. Not only were they able to automate part of this migration, but they completed it without interrupting user access to their DAM site. Now, the content that was previously in the other system is easy to search, share, and use in future creative work.

A plan for system adoption and user engagement

T-Mobile worked with Widen consulting during the implementation of their Collective site to support internal alignment efforts and build a plan for system utilization and ongoing success. To get their system up and running quickly and efficiently, they decided to leverage Widen’s experience with DAM implementation and change management.

Through a series of Widen-led workshops the T-Mobile team developed an organization-wide adoption strategy, including timelines and desired outcomes for an iterative launch, user training, and ongoing communication. The Collective now allows T-Mobile to efficiently distribute content to employees, partners, and community members; and has streamlined workflows across teams and offices.
