Adventure and growth is the overall theme of the Widen Summit this year, so we wanted to make sure the lineup of educational breakout sessions is impactful, helpful, and full of big discoveries.
To hit on the most important digital asset management (DAM) topics and trends, we’ve gathered feedback from you throughout the year, as well as held customer focus groups to obtain feedback and guidance on the session topics and direction. We’ve made many changes and tweaks before honing in on nine chosen sessions. We’ve also added more opportunities for you to take the wheel and drive, ask questions, and experience the Widen Collective at the new-for-this-year Widen Summit Exhibition.
Widen Summit Breakout Sessions
Your Revenue-Generating DAM Toolkit with Craig Bollig, Senior DAM Advisor
When it comes to your sales department, generating revenue is typically their first priority. What if you could use your Widen Collective in a way that extends to your sales teams, retailers, distributors, franchisees, and other user groups for asset exposure, brand control, and revenue generation?
Getting Ready for the DAM Adventure with Emily Jacoby, Customer Experience Manager and Lanita Haag, Director of Customer Support
In order to prepare for your DAM adventure, you first need to build a solid plan, and that plan should include a comprehensive governance model. As a group, you’ll define the what, the who, the how, the when, and the why for running a successful DAM. You’ll also talk about what works and what doesn’t.
Plan Your Creative Workflow Journey with Bob Samuels, Product Manager
What would you do if you had more time to do the work you love to do? Your team has processes in place, but not a clear vision of the big picture and how everything connects. Managing creative process can seem like a daunting and dangerous journey and definitely gets in the way of focusing on the work you love. In this session, we’ll help you to define and streamline your team’s workflow process using the new Widen Workflow tool.
Love your Brand Identity with DAM with Nina Brakel-Schutt, Brand Strategist, and Jake Athey, Director of Marketing
Your brand is one of the most important assets your organization has, and your DAM site is a gateway that supports and controls it. The more branded your DAM site is, the more likely people will connect to it, engage with it, and keep using it. If you’re not branding your site and making use of simple features to share your identity with control, clarity, and consistency, it's a missed opportunity.
The Hitchhiker’s Guide to User Engagement with Rebecca Running and Lori Rott, Customer Experience Managers
User engagement is a topic that always needs discussion. In this session, you’ll create a roadmap to successfully communicating the benefits of using the Widen Collective. Learn techniques and best practices from other Widen admins who’ve dealt with user adoption to help you inspire your users to join the DAM adventure.
DAM Tools: Connect via the API with Chris Schroeder, Software Developer, and Adam Knutson, Software Support Specialist
You wouldn’t believe how others are connecting their software tools to the Widen Collective using the API. Learn more about the new Salesforce and Sitecore integration options, as well as the new Instant Search Connector, in this session. You’ll come away with ideas and examples of how the Widen API can be used to successfully connect your tools and transform your workflow process.
Bridging Content Across the Marketing Experience with Jake Athey, Director of Marketing
Continue the conversation from last year or jump right in and explore advanced DAM concepts of intelligent connections in your content marketing process and overall marketing experience. Learn and share new ideas and practices for making content scalable, repurposable, and valuable.
Discover Solutions to Your DAM Problems: Customer Panel - Sam Schnepf and Dustin Pence, Customer Experience Managers
Hear stories about problems they’ve experienced and example solutions from Widen admins from Pampered Chef, Facebook, and New Era. They all have interesting use cases of how they needed to tap into their organization’s overall vision to align their Widen Collective accordingly. You’ll hear how they encountered similar obstacles to work through, asked themselves the same types of questions, then tackled them head on in very different ways.
Connect the Content Lifecycle with the Widen Collective with Deanna Ballew, Director of Product Management
Widen Collective is much more than DAM, and we think you won’t be disappointed to learn about all the ways your site can be used to help you through the full content lifecycle. Learn how to create, deliver, and maintain powerful content — from planning your content strategy with Content Planner, to creating your content with Widen Workflow, to managing your content through Portals, then analyzing its performance and ROI through Insights. It’s big stuff right here!
Connect Your Process and Broaden Your Team Presence
We have something for everyone at the Widen Summit and think that cross-team collaboration is key to your DAM success! Check out the session blocks below and plan out who else needs to join you at the Summit this year.
Widen Summit Exhibition
When attending other conferences and walking through exhibit halls, you expect to be asked to buy about one million items. The Widen Summit Exhibition is much, much different! Instead, we’ll have 10 exhibits from different Widen departments set up and staffed by expert Wideneers. They’re ready to talk, dive deeper on the spot, and help you to learn more about topics — from Insights, to branding your Dashboard, to product functionality, to content creation. There’ll also be user experience feedback opportunities (we want to know what you think!) and, of course, the Widen Support Team will be on site to help answer your questions and solve problems. Check out the exhibits during down time, breaks, and meals.
