Save the date for the 2nd Annual Widen User Summit - October 14-16, 2013
We’ve got some exciting details surfacing about the 2013 Widen User Summit that will be held at the Monona Terrace Convention Center on October 14-16th. The planning committee has been meeting monthly to make the 2013 user summit even more amazing last year’s inaugural event.
We’ve selected a theme of “Inspiring Harmony” for the 2013 Widen User Summit. It’s quite fitting given the people from instrumental roles at a wide variety of organizations who come together for the DAM conference. Moreover, “Converged Marketing” is a term used often by our keynote speaker Scott Brinker - the guy who coined the term “marketing technologist”. He uses it to explain a rapidly changing marketing landscape where technology, and more specifically “marketing technologists” use management platforms like DAM to share data with other critical marketing tools, inspiring harmony not only between differing technologies, but also between different people managing them.
Two Days of Content
We’re excited about the wealth of topics we’ll cover over the 2-day conference (and yes - it’s 2 full days this year)! We got an early start with great suggestions captured in an exit survey at the 2012 user summit - from creative and marketing workflows to metadata deep-dives and exploration of the APIs. New topics are also being created based on new and exciting features that have been, and will be released in our DAM software prior to the summit dates. Of course, we always have an open ear for feedback, so if you have a topic suggestion, don’t be shy. Tell us.
You may continue to access the photos, videos and presentations from the 2012 Widen User Summit at WidenUserSummit.com/content/.
Throughout the conference, “Customer Spotlights” will introduce individual Widen customers that have demonstrated leadership in a specific area of administering a DAM system. We will tell their story and introduce them to the entire group to encourage other attendees to network with these individuals throughout the conference and learn more from their learning experiences. Our main goal of the user summit is to foster an open sharing environment amongst our customers.
Come to Madison
The Monona Terrace Convention Center provides an amazingly beautiful and centrally located backdrop for the conference being located on the shore of Lake Monona. We are already planning activities that will allow attendees to get out and explore the capital area of downtown Madison to see what it has to offer for both food and fun.
We’ll be updating WidenUserSummit.com as new details become available in the weeks ahead.
