Key themes

1. The emerging Creative Operations team
It’s the business of managing the creative process, rather than the production arm for the creative team. Establishing standard, repeatable workflow processes is essential to this team’s success. DAM, work management, and project management tools are key in supporting that success.

2. Process and project management
The right tools need to support an internal process, so frame your tools with a strong process and the right people to power that process. Our tools are only as good as the people behind them. Tools need to adapt to the way we work and allow for total transparency and accountability across teams.

3. Analytics and data
Data that shows how your content and assets are being used, by who, and where is critical in guiding future content creation decisions. But we need the right context for data before we can do anything with it. Clear insights, reports, and visuals bring analytics to life.

4. Artificial intelligence in DAM
AI is more than auto tagging. It’s about embedding actions in assets. Is DAM there yet? We have yet to see, but AI also includes a range of realities – virtual reality, augmented reality, and mixed reality – which make content matter more.

DAM is an engine, but it’s a people-powered engine. Just like riding a bike. So keep engaging with the DAM community to find your people and power the DAM engine together.
