Here are the updates to the Widen Collective® for the month of August.
App navigation enhancements
The Collective app picker, search bar, and mobile experience are easier to use and more accessible due to several design enhancements. The app picker now features gray icons, which are more readable for all users.
For all navigation items, hover and focus states have been improved, providing a better experience for keyboard and mouse users. Also, user avatars have been moved all the way to the right.
The mobile navigation bar has been redesigned, prioritizing the search bar and collapsing all other navigation options into one menu.

New certification for DAM admins
Admins can validate and promote their DAM skills by becoming an Acquia-Certified DAM Administrator. To get certified, admins must pass an exam that assesses knowledge of DAM governance and maintenance, configuration, app usage, and more. Learn more about the study guide and exam.
Insights performance enhancements
Insights app performance has been improved through partnership with Bonsai, a trusted technology and engineering firm.
Engagement notification
We developed a better way to identify Collective sites that have low usage. Now, admins of these DAMs will receive a DAM Help Guide on their dashboard that notifies them of low usage and provides our best resources to improve their DAM and boost user engagement.
New way to create product tasks
Admins can now manually create and delete tasks on the Product Details page in the Entries app.
Acquia DAM module updates
The latest version of the Acquia DAM module for Drupal supports images and spinsets, as well as asset version management and metadata mapping from DAM to Drupal.
New VPATs for accessibility
We completed two Voluntary Product Accessibility Templates (VPATs) for Entries and Portals creation. These templates document our product’s conformance with accessibility standards and guidelines. View the new and existing VPATs on Widen Connect.
