Here are the updates to the Widen Collective® for the month of June.
Assets: Full release of the enhanced asset uploader
The updated asset uploader is now available to all customers. It streamlines the upload process by allowing users to edit categories and metadata before uploading files.
Assets: New Acquia DAM module
We released a new Acquia DAM module that syncs assets stored in the Collective with Drupal’s Media Library, so users can search, browse, and select these assets without leaving the Drupal site builder interface. The first release of the module supports PDF and video assets, and future versions will support images and spinsets.
Assets: FTP server upgrade
We upgraded our FTP server to only support FTP asset uploads made over a secure SFTP or FTPS connection.
Widen Connect: Support update
All communication channels with the Widen Customer Support team are available and open for active customers and users. As our customers have grown, so have non-active user requests for support. To help the support team prioritize cases and allocate services, customers now must log in to Widen Connect to submit cases, access live chat on that site, and view and update contact information.
Integration: FADEL
We now offer a managed integration with FADEL, a digital rights management solution. With this integration, users no longer need to manually register Collective assets in FADEL. Registration automatically happens when an asset is created in the Collective.
Portals: Rich text editor improvements
We updated the rich text editor (RTE) in Portals to be more user friendly and accessible. You can now edit immediately after adding the RTE and delete the RTE by simply selecting the trash icon.
Mobile: Resolved issues
- We fixed an issue with not being able to include the & character in a search to refine results.
- We resolved two issues with new and recently viewed assets. Now, when you upload a new asset, it will be the first one displayed in New Assets, and when you view an asset, it will be the first one displayed in Recently Viewed.
- Collections that appear on the Asset Details page now also appear in the Collections list.
- We fixed an issue with previously removed collections appearing in the Collections list.
