The Widen Media Collective Dashboard Contest recently came to a close and we’re delighted to share with you a number of fantastic examples in addition to our winning entry from Sub-Zero and Wolf.
The contest carries forward the excitement that Widen DAM customers have for being able to further customize their DAM systems to serve their brand. The Dashboard contest builds on the best branded interfaces shared during our Login Page Contest this winter.
The customizable Dashboard is among the popular user interface / user experience (UI/UX) enhancements delivered with the version 8.0 release of the Media Collective. With little effort to make it pretty, the Dashboard serves as a visual launchpad to your content command center. Admin-controlled system messages, spotlight collections, categories and saved searches guide users and provide a starting point to the find-and-do experience. The configurations pair nicely with an Activity Feed that allow users to see recent uploads, downloads, shares and comments. Among the popular examples, admins are leveraging HTML coding in their system messages to bring a variety of visual elements, graphics and links into the experience.
Congratulations to our contest winner Jacob Sikir, Graphic Designer at Sub-Zero and Wolf!
As you can see, Sub-Zero uses the HTML-supported system messages to include a beautiful hero graphic to welcome users and introduce some of the key functions of the Media Collective. They also use a number of custom icons serving as previews for spotlight searches and spotlight collections (not shown).
